Mohammed Shami is back in the Indian T20I squad against England

India's team is ready to play a 5 T20I match series against England from January 22, for which the BCCI has announced the 15-member squad of Team India. The team is led by Suryakumar Yadav while Axar Patel has been given the vice-captaincy role. Dhruv Jurel has returned to the Indian team, while Ishan Kishan has been ignored again. But if there is the biggest news for Indian fans, then it is the return of Mohammed Shami. Fans have been waiting for Shami's return for a long time. Shami played his last international match in the ODI World Cup 2023. After that, he will be seen in the blue jersey for the first time.

Shami's return is also special because India has to play in the Champions Trophy in February, for which Shami's fitness test will also be done. Indian fans will be hoping for a good performance from Shami because Bumrah is currently injured. With Shami's arrival, the burden of bowling will once again come on senior shoulders.

If we talk about the Indian T20I squad, the team is almost the same as the one who went to South Africa earlier. Apart from Shami, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Washington Sundar and Dhruv Jurel are the players who will play against England. At the same time, Ramandeep Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Vijaykumar Vyashk, Yash Dayal & Avesh Khan are not considered for the upcoming T20I series. Team India will play 5 T20Is & 3 ODIs against England starting from 22 January.
